Being an older brother always prepped him for this part of his personality. Gemikai wouldn't call himself a white knight but he does occasionally step in and stop weird stuff. Like bullying. It's a part of who he is to see safety done right. These kinds of values likely came from his parents barking at Gemikai to be a good big brother. Becoming a security guard helped him protect anyone other than his family and friends. As his age matured him properly, the demon started to notice the power difference between him as a civilian and other people on his planet. Conjuring a strong desire to protect himself he joined the EDF to do his part.
Productive +
Gemikai doesn't do boredom. This humanish person committed himself to never being bored. Energetic is an understatement - he's come to a prospective that it's too much going on in the world to be bored unless you want to be. Solo or team activity he will create a task for himself to do. It also goes to show it's part of Gemikai's nature to have a good work ethic. Things need to get done so he's always down to help if he can. This trait gets him a lot of social points - sometimes not in the direction he's looking towards though.
Optimistic +
The strongest aspect of his character. He is always thinking positive thoughts and giving compliments. He doesn't let negative ideas cloud his senses or attitude. He had a successful upbringing in managing his demon and emotional energy. Sometimes he can be slightly delusional and unrealistic - but it keeps Gemikai alive and compassionate. Deep down he can feel the violence around him and he chooses to protect his peace by generating positive energy from within him - emotionally.
History:
-Childhood-
The story of Gemikai is deep in demon magick. Starting long before birth his family & ancestors lived in a town near north city. A reincarnation of a demon of some sort. Gemikai was born as a vessel for an ancient demon's power that have been in a pact in his family for a long time. His parents were human though they did had access to magick. He, maybe a brother and his cousins of his family line had a successful birth and lifestyle as infants/babies. Gemikai only spent about 3 years with a full family until the family started splitting up. Gemikai and his cousins were relocated to their grandmother Ernie's house. Grandmother Ernie was effective at teaching the kids cleaning, speech, writing, cooking, hygiene, compassion, and more. Gemikai and his cousins made childhood friends, developed personality, and stayed out of trouble. Granny Ernie started training the two combat & magical items when he was ten. He started to grow an interest in martial arts soon afterwards. It was initially to protect himself but turned into an interest to protect other people.
-Teenage Years-
Years has went by and Gemikai had started to create a life for himself as a human looking individual. Age thirteen Gemikai's demonic energy started to leak - faster movement, a little strong when passionate, and sometimes restless. Ernie and Gemikai found that meditation helps tremendously with the energy overflow. It was also that same year many of the people he knew on earth claimed they felt like he could be more than human. Finally, Ernie revealed the truth of his demonic nature. Gem was hurt for a while but eventually did get over it, mostly because he couldn't afford letting demon energy leak out because he was upset. He had no choice but to accept it.
At age sixteen he started working security at one of the capsule corporation warehouses near his house. This was the year he learned how to fly. The martial artist he would see on TV & the actual people flying around earth really pushed him to want to try. The cousins learned it faster but Gemikai mastered it better. Learning how to fly allowed him to travel and connect with the world. Age seventeen he focused on fashion, love, socializing, hygiene, school, working, and meditation. Age eighteen he started joining martial arts schools to get back in shape. Or so he tells himself & his grandmother Ernie. He's learning more exclusively about different races, factions, and ways of life he's never experienced.
-Adult Years-
In his twenties he's doing his best to save money! This chapter was filled with the harsh realities of wealth & prosperity - and Gemikai was hoping to secure his own place. The security job was good to him but he was losing interest fast. He accepts that he needs to make a living but security was killing his inner spirit. Fortunately for Gemikai recruiters of an organization called the Earth Defense Forces - sought him out to give him the offer of a lifetime. The security work with the recommendations of his martial arts school put him on EDF's wishlist. Gemikai isn't a big fan of cops or military stuff - but he did want to be closer to the action and of course pay his bills. Just the fact that he could fly alone put him in high remarks for EDF. He left his home, job, and lifestyle to fully immerse himself into the lifestyle of a Earth Defense Force Agent. Earth Defense Force has been training him for months and finally - Gemikai is reporting for duty.
Techniques:
[OT1] Energy Attack
Gemikai summons energy to whatever body part that he's about to attack with and it forms a turquoise aura around it as he creates an explosive physical attack, infused with ki for extra damage.
[DT1] Safe Haven
Gemikai creates an energy barrier that protects him and anyone inside it from melee and energy attacks.
[ST1] Flight
The ability to use one's energy to fly, whether organic or not.
[ST1] Ki Sense
The ability to detect other energy signatures, within a small radius.
[ST1] Ki Control
Gemikai can control his ki to raise and lower it as needed. This allows him to hide from others with ki sense to some degree or power up to his max power level. This does not allow him to make himself stronger than he actually is.

Gemikai is able to sense the energy or magical prowess of others, unless they are suppressed or lack a signature of energy.
Roleplay Sample:
Gemikai wasn't having the best day today. He had been taking classes, training, and briefings for an extra week after his EDF contact told him he'd be on the field. In one of EDF's super secret base held Gemikai along with a handful of other fighters, who by inspection and social connection - we're also new to EDF. Gemikai's physical location was at a lounge first floor of the base. On this faithful day - his attire was actually a full orange jogging two piece set with the EDF logo on his back. He'd been there for so long Gemikai started wearing the merchandise like he was on some kind of vacation. He was sitting on a black chair listening to a group of other fighters complain about the delay of their training director. The group mostly composed of everyone but humans - with the exception of those who just look human of course.
The room was excited at first with anticipation, but eventually the waiting turned happiness into irritation. The room energy was changing and Gemikai did not like it. He crossed his arms as he counted the fighters in the room and started sensing power levels just to be ready in case someone wants to blow something up. On the outside of his physical demeanor he looked dangerously calm, but deep down Gemikai learned to meditate during stressful waiting situations to sharpen the mind and preserve nerves. Occasionally, Gemikai would look at the door just to be sure no one was coming. Gemikai was anxious to get started with doing any task at this point - EDF has had him on standby for months. He's barely seen much of the real world with all the training and briefings he's been required to finish. "I think I hear someone!" Shouted Gemikai to the group of agitated warriors.
He finally heard steps moving through the hallway while everyone else argued for no reason. The attention went to Gemikai for a moment, then the sounds of the footsteps, and then the attentive energy refocused itself. It was finally time for the new recruits to get past a very long orientation. This boarding training program almost felt like a weird cult to Gemikai - but he could feel a good thing happening so he continued to go with it. He didn't know why but Gemikai felt like he was meant to be apart of the Earth Defense Forces.
Everyone standing took their seats and the entire room looked towards the door with readiness and awe. A power level can be sensed, a presence can be felt - and with a light flash due to a door opening - someone stepped into the room. Gemikai secretly prayed it was finally time to get started.
